Samaritan’s Center for Grief Support receives no reimbursement from commercial insurers for its comforting services including counseling, and community- and school-based support groups. We ask your support to continue providing a supportive presence for all who need us. The Center’s Just the Guys support group offers a safe haven, a grief counselor, and a therapeutic approach suited to the special needs of husbands, brothers, sons, fathers, and significant others mourning a loss. Their chosen grief projects are as varied as their losses. Like the grandfather who raised funding for a playground in memory of his grandson. Or the man who donated his brother’s sports memorabilia to his church for a silent auction. Or the son who was encouraged to express his mother’s loss through poetry.
