Then youve got what it takes to succeed at Samsung.Total Rewards & HR Systems Specialist The incumbent is responsible for providing input to the design of compensation programs and to administer the organization’s compensation programs and system. The Total Rewards Specialist will undertake analysis and make recommendations on identified compensation programs and align the compensation policies with the business initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the day to day operations of our Human Resource Systems and the Incentive Management System (IMS). Through collaboration with key stakeholders in the business and the HR Systems team in USA or the IMS vendor (as applicable), this role will be responsible for improving the HR data and transaction processes, data integrity, systems enhancements, reporting and analysis and create efficiencies to support Samsung Canada. The role will center on fully leveraging the HR Systems and the Incentive Management System. The incumbent will also provide administration support for benefit and pension programs including health and welfare programs, STD, LTD, Flexible Benefit Plans and RRSP/DPSP as well as special projects as assigned.Responsibilities:Compensation Provide input to the design and development of salary programs by completing research and analysis Complete external compensation market surveys; analyses reports and presents results Presents results based upon research to determine how competitive SECA is versus the total marketplace and specific competitors Ensure that the external compensation tool used for modeling and salary survey analysis is updated and utilized for analysis Assist with the monthly forecasts and annual budgeting as it relates to labour cost, HR & Corporate Affairs overheads and headcount Researches and responds to compensation and Total Rewards issues, inquiries and requests for information Administers compensation, performance incentive programs for all employee groups, including processing required salary changes to meet semi-monthly payroll deadlines Develops and revises compensation guidelines, processes, procedures and policies as it relates to Total Rewards Provides input to the Job Evaluation process and coordinates the process and maintain current the eIPE system with the evaluation points Work with the HR BPs and ensure that we have a current and updated database of descriptions for roles within the organization HR Systems and Incentive Management System Ensure the integrity of data input in the Samsung HR systems in support of payroll, benefits, organization charts, incentives, Time off and HR end user day-to-day operations, processing and reporting Design and implement data integrity checks and drive the HR team on the importance of accuracy Write, maintain, support and deliver a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports, develops metrics, dashboards and enterprise reporting as needed. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data Analyze HR operations and related metrics to identify errors, user training needs and efficiency trends; implement related improvements Ensure the accuracy and quality of HR system information as used by management, third party administrators and regulatory authorities. Includes monitoring and analyzing HR information flow through manual and automated processes Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train existing/new users on new processes/functionality Responsible for leveraging the HRIS and Incentive Management System, identifying system enhancements, and exploring system capabilities Manage the administration of the HRIS and the interface with our Payroll systems and benefit carriers. This includes ensuring data integrity through management of data, designing audit controls, administering access, establishing tables, and running management reports Research issues, recommend process improvements and implement system or process changes to improve accuracy and increased efficiency between HR and Payroll systems Partner with benefit carriers in identifying and resolving system feed issues to ensure stable interface. Review carrier eligibility reports for accuracy Develop manager and employee self-service capabilities Audit employee data for accuracy and to ensure the interface with Payroll systems is smooth Pension and Benefits Project manage development of a module in the HRIS system with the assistance of Samsung HR Systems for creating or modifying benefit plan set up to accommodate benefit renewal changes and liaise with Payroll to ensure the changes are integrated in all systems Administer and maintain benefits through provider and conduct on-boarding communication workshop to new hires Work with broker and carrier to review usage and updates to RRSP/DPSP program Keep abreast of Benefits and Pension legislative changes / trends and ensure SECA maintains compliant and is current with best practices Answer general employee questions and troubleshoot issues (i.e. enrollment, change requests, claims issues) Assist in orientation and collecting paperwork for new hires from recruiting to complete enrollments Acts as liaison with benefits and pension providers, various other vendors and HR and Payroll regarding administrative issues and other related benefit and pension inquiries Collect and analyze pension and benefit data for year-end projects, audits and annual renewals Manage related systems issues, upgrades and enhancements and work towards resolution Performs other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a HR function is preferred Requires 3-5 years experience with at least 2 years experience in compensation, employee benefits and pensions and HR systems Advanced computer skills with Microsoft business applications software, compensation software packages, and HRIS systems Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products Possess strong written and oral communication skills to deal professionally with both internal and external parties Knowledge of government regulations, professional “best practices”, and industry trends as they apply to specifically to Compensation, Benefits and Pension. Customer service oriented, sensitive to customer issues and understand the importance of diplomacy and confidentiality Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel.
