Samuel Frederick Sam Smith (born 19 May 1992) is a British singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosures breakthrough single Latch, which peaked at #11 on the UK chart. His subsequent feature on Naughty Boys La La La earned him his first #1 single in May 2013. Marc MK Kinchen is an American house-music producer who hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs Always and Love Changes. Lead vocals on both of those tracks were performed by Alana Simon (songs were credited to MK featuring Alana). Always peaked at #69 in the UK Singles Chart in February 1995. MK also hit the dance chart with 4 You, using the pseudonym 4th Measure Men. Kinchen also remixed and engineered the Nightcrawlers major #3 UK hit Push the Feeling On. He also assisted Nightcrawlers front-man John Reid with a number of his further releases, but they did not have the same impact on the charts. In 2001, Kinchen moved to Los Angeles and started working with Denise Martell, who brought Kinchen in to begin working with David Foster. In 2002, Kinchen became an in-house producer for the actor and singer Will Smith. Kinchen then worked on Sharks Tale, did production on one of Will Smiths albums, and did the music of the TV show All of Us, which was produced by Smith. Kinchen is currently working on projects with Diane Warren and Pitbull. Kinchen has more recently signed with Pitbull as a producer and produced three songs on the latters Armando album (2010), and two songs on the Planet Pit album. Kinchen is also now working with Willow Smith.
