San Marcos was a wonderful Italian restaurant at the corner of Clarendon Rd & E. 56th Street back in the day! I remember once going there with my parents to sadly discover the longtime owner Adam Liotti Snr had just passed away. I believe his widow tried to run them afterwards but the restaurant did not last long after that. It was truly wonderful food run but a great family. His son, Adam Jr., is on Facebook. Note, some of my favorite Italian restaurants ever in Brooklyn have included Carolina (Coney Island), Fiorentinos (Gravesend), San Marcos (East Flatbush), & Ninas (Canarsie). They all lasted for decades but only Fiorentinos, the successor chef at Carolinas back in the day, is still in business today. *Early 1980s photo from the NYC archives.
