Sangpo Ngadhen: Master Musical Instrument Maker བཟང་པོ་ལྔ་ལྡན། རོལ་ཆས་བཟོ་སྐྲུན་པ། After learning his craft in Tibet, Sangpo Ngadhen came into exile and joined Dharamsala’s Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts as instructor at their instrument making workshop. Over the course of a decade, Dramnyens, Piwangs, and Yangchins made under his tutelage at TIPA found their way into hundreds of Tibetan schools, organizations, and private homes around the world. Master Ngaden who runs his own workshop today tells VOA that he is still making instruments because there are fewer and fewer quality instrument makers today.
