Santiago Bedlamb bawls: Comments on issue 115, Octogre-Notremember 2013= The Seth Quote’s wording is “a bit out of the ordinary” this time. Perhaps because of what Suzette Haden Elgin’s “The Gentle Art Of Self-Defense” explains on pages 88 and 89, to wit: “Certain words in front of a noun presuppose that it exists… adding frills will make it even more powerful”? However, the Favorite One that follows encompasses such felicitous phrases!: “You would not get by for one day if the conserving principles and the unexpected did not exist exactly as they do: you perform far more actions in a day that you can recall -otherwise action itself would be meaningless-, not from any accumulation of knowledge or simple conservation of energy, but by surprising unforeseen leaps… unofficial new energy… some graceful effortlessness... nature’s need for action stretched”. The one that I most like: “Dreams are an aid to the development of skills. They conserve available information by weaving it through the other structures of your experience” -as MRL’s oneiric experience that led her to Black Sheep (see Ute on this, on page 11). And, on page 5, he points at as the real blessings come from ourselves {this is in line with Hawaiian Shamanism principle of “Aloha” (and, on page 12, the gentleman advices to Mrs. Kaymun: “Attend to what is directly before you”, again in line with the said Shamanism in its principle of “Manawa” [and, is it not nice that, as discussed on page 17, the shamanistic Haida nation is now saved? ])}. Elsewhere Dorothy cites from him: “What would happen if a flower says: ‘I must rationalize my existence’? Now, any flower has better sense than that, and so should you”. Just as folks like Whitman, who was putated as having attained “Cosmiconsciousness”, feel! (see, at this effect, on page 13, Shirley Leighton’s description of San Gabriel Mountains, “like ladies in lovely attire” {on page 18, they are a second time refered at, by, again, some shamanic-oriented people}). On page 7, the Energy Personality Essence purports: “What you do is good. What you are is good”; and this reminds me of a Bible of mine, the “Shiva Sutras”, which, opposed to the Xristian one, states sin and mistake to be Maya (delusional). In fact, the motto of a recent master of this tradition, Muktananda, went by similar words to those of Seth just after the above utterance: “Honor your self and then do you honor others”. Finally, on page 10, there is this sentence from him to Lawrence Brown: “No man or woman ever loses that intent, even when poorly executed” -and I am currently reading “Doubt”, by Jennifer Michael Hecht, about all those in History who were ever so curious: no wonder Garrison Keillor, of “Little House in the Prairie’s Companion” fame, is of opinion that this latter volume should have been our text tome in College! . Also on page 10 Richard Bach’s “Wicked Parents” black-and-white kid photos are reminisced, and, just across, on page 11, Mrs. Kaboolian got hers -without overlooking the black cat and raven redoled on page 13 by the very same lady. Of late I have looked in the Internet for videos of Richard and other teachers that I respect, and they look very much like my neighbors or yours. By the way, the current “Quest” Magazine of the Theosophists is consacrated to what many guys around call “the Astral Plane”, and on it I found the following Seth-compatible statements = Kurt Leland, one of Today most intrepid explorer of the inner planes, says: “My understanding is that events descend gradually into greater specifity. On the astral, as to locations and persons but not as to timing” THIS SOUND A LOT AS THE FRAMEWORKS, DOES IT NOT? . . . “try not to be part of the food chain” -EXACTLY WHAT “DREAMS AND PROJECTION OF CONSCIOUSNESS” COUNSELS: DO NOT INTERFER! Ira Progoff tells of great channeler Eileen Garret: “Her psyche is also a vehicle of something much larger that brings her forth, but also many other individuals.” HER OVERSOUL, IN SETHIAN TERMS? And this medium herself: “Space has never been empty for me. There are movement and I can discriminate among environments by the impressions of tremend vitalities”. -WELL, THIS IS ACCEPTED NOW BY SCIENTISTS THAT SOME PEOPLE DO SEE WELL THROUGH THEIR FINGERS; PROBABLY MUCH TO DO WITH THE INNER SENSES AND ALL OF THAT! And CHIMING WITH MRL’s recall of “the dog in the corner”, it is reminisced how clairvoyant Geoffrey Hodgson got his ability by asking his own canid what this latter one was gawking at. Mark Joseph Kiewlak’s tale reminds me of “Star Trek” Odo, and of Mark Twain. c:> And, as for the other news-clip about being aware in meetings of how MothEarth is in crisis, I just read in “La-LaTimes” that scientists in Stockholm a couple of days ago had determined that it will be in a mere 25 years that global worming shall become irreversible.
