Sara emailed--I had a busy day with a few appointments. I seen my primary for a follow-up. Last time I seen her was in June for the unhealed wounds. She referred me to the wound center. Which by that point it was to late. The infection had ate through 65% of my tissue in the side and top of my foot. So to save my life I became a RBKA. My dr gave me another medication for the nerve or phantom pain that I can take until I see the pain management on the 28th. However I did make my appointment for my first fitting on the 21st. I have done some research but still unsure what is coming next. Because I told my dr I hadnt processed my experience he recommended I see someone. I went today and start counseling the end of the month. I posted for the first time yesterday telling my story and was overcome with emotion from the nice things people said. For the ones who have had amputations based on foot/ankle surgeries gone wrong do you still sometimes wonder what you could of done different? I am motivated to get back to being a mom and wife again and lord knows ready to start cleaning the house how I want it done. But at night when the phantom pain is so bad and I am in tears going on 3 hours of sleep because each night before was the same way I find myself saying you had a bad feeling before this surgey and still did it, now you see why people say listen to your gut. The new medication I mentioned above is to help also with sleeping. It starts with a n and I think ends in tine. Waiting until my husband cashes his check tomorrow to get it. My main concern is what is coming next, I am a planner and would like a rough idea. Thank yo
