Sarah Geronimo named Best Southeast Asia act at MTV Europe bit.ly/1rrtIYY MANILA - The Voice of the Philippines coach Sarah Geronimo on Thursday was named the Best Southeast Asia act at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), as voted by fans in the region. The 26-year-old singer and actress was up against NOAH of Indonesia, Yuna of Malaysia, Stefanie Sun of Singapore, and Slot Machine of Thailand. On its official website, MTV Asia announced that with her regional win, Geronimo moved on to the next round of competition, wherein she will be pitted against acts from China and Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In this grouping, Geronimos competitors are BiBi Zhou (China) and Hebe Tien (Taiwan). Fans can once again vote for Geronimo until October 29. The act with the most number of fan votes will represent the region as its Worldwide Act nominee, who will face off against 9 other nominees from different regions. The Worldwide Act winner, also be determined by fan votes, will be announced at the MTV EMA show at The SSE Hydro in Scotland on November 9. -- admin M
