Saturday - Had a lovely morning at the Jenny-Crwys-Williams book Brunch. Luck was on our side - Shirley won the flower arrangement on our table - I won the book Ragged Glory by Ray Hartley and a note pad and pen. I bought The Keeper by Marguerite Poland and Darrel Bristow-Bovey s One midlife crisis and a speedo I like Darrels endorsement - Dear Shirley and Gordon What a very special husband you do have Nothing like a pat on the back. Leaving the book brunch another power failure. We had hopes to get home and change for the 5.15 matinee - but just could not face the traffic so went straight to Monte Casino where spent three enjoyable hours. Shirley could not eat except for the odd chip from my pub lunch. Jeeves and Wooster was certainly was perfect nonsense and I was quite giddy from laughing. We also had fun watching the audience arrive for the Rocky Horror Show Many dressed for the occasion. Pictures to follow. I won a bit on the machines as well.
