Saturday, 10th August NEVER AGAIN! “What do ye imagine against - TopicsExpress

Saturday, 10th August NEVER AGAIN! “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” (Nahum 1:9) When Saul of Tarsus, who later became known as the Apostle Paul was up against the Christians, severely persecuting them, he met the Lord Jesus on his way to Damascus. In that divine encounter, he heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why persecutes thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest…” (Acts 9:4-5). At this moment, Jesus had already risen and had ascended bodily into heaven. But the Lord Himself told Saul that he was persecuting Him. That meant whatever wrong Saul did to the Christians then, he was doing to the Lord. This revelation of the Lord was the beginning of the Pauline teachings on our oneness with Christ. By virtue of the new birth, you have become one with the Lord Jesus. We the Church, consisting of God’s saints all over the world are His body and individually we are members of His body. So if Jesus wants to bless or heal anybody today, it will be through His body, through His member, and that’s you! And if you do something good to a Christian, you are doing it to the Lord. What a blessing that is! First Corinthians 6:17 says that we have been joined to the Lord and are one with Him. And Isaiah 63:9 underscores this truth, saying: “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them.” Our opening scripture says: “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end”. To imagine or plan something negative against a child of God is a waste of time. Anyone who attempts to set up evil against you will never succeed, for God will make it fail. Then the Lord adds: “affliction shall not rise up the second time.” Hallelujah! Fear not, that evil will never come back, it will never return again! Prayer: Precious Father, thank you for the wisdom of your word today. I walk in this blessed reality of my oneness with the Lord and in the consciousness that I am joined with you as one divine creation. Therefore, righteousness, peace, prosperity, victory and success are the hallmarks of my life in Jesus Name. Amen. Further Insight: Acts 26:12-19 Study Plan: 2 Kings 20-21
