Saturday, I hated to have to pick which of the four places I had to be at I was actually able to attend. Thank God for my volunteers that showed up to walk in Buckeye, my Yuma volunteers who also walked in San Luis and for Nacho Gomez who volunteered to go to the Patagonia Festival representing me so I could be at the AzCDL annual banquet and meeting. The Reverend Kenn Blanchard, A former Marine, CIA agent and author of Black Man With a Gun Reloaded was the keynote speaker. State Representatives Brenda Barton and John Kavanagh (future State Senator) gave us an update on Second Amendment rights at the State legislature. As I was waiting to purchase a book from the key note speaker I met a future USA citizen from México and later on I met his wife and one of their sons. He told me he has been in the USA for 26 years, when I inquire how come he had not become a citizen, he honestly told me because he has been lazy, he told me that he had immigrated his wife and that she has only one year to go be able to apply for her citizenship and that she told him that they should become citizens together, their son a member of AzCDL invited the family to the shooting range and taught Mom how to shoot and shared his Moms comment. Wow, this is pretty cool and I did not become a killer nor did my gun killed anybody It was so cool to see this lady with her open carry!
