Saturday, July 5, 2014 Danielle and I continue to have chance - TopicsExpress

Saturday, July 5, 2014 Danielle and I continue to have chance encounters with many strangers who are aware of our William and his 11-month battle against neuroblastoma but who have never met us until recently. It is amazing to us the number of people who came to know our son through word of mouth or a hastily designed Facebook page. We are happy to speak of William and share our fond memories of him. We always smile talking about him and enjoy the good memories it brings to us of our time with him. There is not a day that goes by we do not think of him or are reminded of his funny personality as we pass something in the house which holds a significant memory and makes us smile. In a way to continue to share his memory and keep the focus on increasing research for childhood cancer, we reserved JF Gregory Park in Richmond Hill once again for The Warriors for William Race. Last year it was a wonderful event which brought tears to our eyes seeing all the support from our community for William while at the same time bringing so much happiness to our son. He talked about it constantly and always referred to it as “his race.” We are gathering support now for “his race” which will be Saturday, October 25. Details are still in the works, but we are excited about the opportunity to see everyone there again, raise money for childhood cancer research, and make new memories. We will continue to post information about the race as we finalize plans and continue to encourage everyone to meet us in this celebration of our little boy’s life who is still such a superhero to our family. We will post in greater detail on the Warriors For William Foundation Facebook page.
