Saturday, June 22, 2013 – Tonight, the Tempe Rio Salado Rotary Club held its annual Charter Night Dinner and Induction of Officers at the Claim Jumper Restaurant. It was a typical Rio Salado meeting; casual, heartfelt, fun, and full of laughter. Larry Horton was inducted as our new President, two Paul Harris Fellowships were announced (Larry received one), we inducted three new members (welcome to the family Cristin Connor, Stephanie Babb, and Sandy Brauer), we received a Skype video-call from Holly Brauer (who is on a trip to South Korea), and I received a “Key Man” medal (surprise!). To top it all off, PDG Ben Eubank, our outgoing President (it’s about time), serenaded Larry with a Texas version of the song “It Ain’t Easy.” (Too funny!)
