Saturday March 29, 2014 prompt: how you recover, rejuvenate, after work or any strong dedicated experience (a little bedraggled but beautiful) (After a lot of work, or strong experience, when you might feel like this rose...https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=10151924069020518&set=oa.608527895901079&type=3&theater complex, beautiful but a bit bedraggled and with a few petals missing... what do you do to rejuvenate, restore the balance and power of the pattern of your life? The last two weeks or much longer (when I think of preparations and planning) I have been immersed in the beautiful Tanka festival here and programs with my dear poetic sister Mariko Kitakubo... now we are reviving and finding the way on the rose path home... many things are put aside during this time and need attention and restoring. I found today the walk to campus among the roses and back to bellydance as revitalizing and joyous ways to begin. Many things can take your energy and focus, pleasurable and difficult. Wit pleasurable activities such as this I think the savoring of what weve done is very important. Thanking those who have worked with us, collecting the photos and really enjoying what we did... again, and at a slower pace. Ive always found this to be an important part of lifes process to savor what has been done. Finishing the journals, adding color and mementos that complete the picture... all this gives a joyous completion. Its also important to me to do small things, slowly, without too much expectation, after an ordeal, or a lot of work, to bring nourishment and refresh. How do you rejuvenate, restore, refresh yourself after a dedicated experience... what kind of rose path do you find in your tanka?)
