Saturday Monde-update from Regina: you never know what a day will - TopicsExpress

Saturday Monde-update from Regina: you never know what a day will hold. After ten days in hospital during which her temperature was almost always lower than normal, this morning Monde was diagnosed with hypothermia--her temp was off-the-charts-low, hands were cold, she wouldnt wake up. She was moved to the ward for more-serious cases, was given milk to drink from a syringe, and we feared for the worst. We made plans to bring all the children and mamas in from the village for a final visit, but by the time they arrived late afternoon, she was awake, propped up with pillows and responding to her name! What a sweet reunion together. Dan invited them to pray for Monde, and oh, what fervent requests were made to the Father by her family on her behalf. This little sparrow is in his hands. A fat yellow full moon rose in the sky as the children huddled under a thick blanket, preparing for the hour-long ride back to the village in the back of an open truck. Ive been kept in town this week and a half helping care for Monde, but how I love and miss these children!
