Saturday Morning MESS report.... Woo Hoo.....Im on a roll here.....4 days in a row!! Rain moving in, so Im glad I got er done. A bit late.....started at 6:30.....but its OK...its SATURDAY!!! Yarnell has been yammering about not getting to go with me on my walks, so on a whim, I stuck him in my pocket this morning. Wrong day to do that. Got to the softball field at Bethel U, and lo and behold! What do I see in the median between the streets? Nobody but Yarnells cousin!! Somebody must have hit a high foul pop up for him to get way out here! And nobody was watching where he landed, either. Yarnell pitched a yowling fit for me to get him. Now, this is on the beginning leg of my walk. Have you ever walked toting a softball for 2 miles? Noooooo......I absolutely refused. Hard to get a screaming, yelling, wiggling Yarnell back in my pocket, but I did.....and walked on. I did have to promise him I would come back later and see if he was still there, and if he is, I will pick him up. Praying somebody finds him first...... Must be men moving the quads at Bethel U......Women would have been finished by now, the dirt nicely disked up, grass seed sewed, flowers planted, and probably mowed at least once by now......just sayin...... Golf game might just get a little damp this morning for the hubby. Hope not. He has been hard at work this week cutting down trees! Since we have about 100 in the yard, progress looks a little slow........and yes, he DID pick the hottest days of the year to start on this project......but, thats my man!! Still didnt see any blooms on the dogwood tree on Cherry Avenue yet. But the whole tree is absolutely COVERED with buds. Ill post a pic when they bloom! Sweat factor down this morning, a bit.....nice breeze.......but the skeeter count is WAYYYYYY up there. I had to fight those suckers all the way back to the car! And Ganats!!!!!! Phew! I learned last year to walk with my mouth shut.....gnats dont taste very good. They are bitter. (yes, I know I spelled it wrong....but thats the way I say it......ga-nats......nasty little buggers!) Opted out of the Stonewall Street route this morning at the 4 way stop at Magnolia Street. Cut back through and hit University Drive again, and home again, home again, jiggedy jig...... One of these days, Im gonna surprise you and vary my route. One of these days....... Have a Stupendous Saturday.....over and out......
