Saturday Night Sermon! Sometimes in the game of life, we - TopicsExpress

Saturday Night Sermon! Sometimes in the game of life, we come off the bench and into the game and play our hearts out. We get our hands on the ball and we give it all weve got. We play with drive, intensity, and integrity. Then someone else comes in while we sit on the bench and catch our breath. When this happens it is easy to get too comfortable there, to the point we may not be prepared to go back in. The same thing can happen to us spiritually. Only, in reality, there is no bench. We are all in the game, ALL the time. There may occasions where someone else will step up and play a bigger role than us, while we catch our breath, but we never get too old or too irrelevant to matter. The question is....how big a heart do you have for the game? An athlete with average athleticism and average physical abilities can perform above his talent level by showing heart. This is an inner desire within most players, some just dont access it, for some reason. And Heart is something that cannot be taught. Do you have the Heart to serve the Lord? Not just serve him, but live for him. Or are you just sitting on the bench watching someone else play? Just because you have played the game for years, doesnt mean are done. Until you draw your last breath here on Earth, God is never done using you. You just have to be willing to go in, when the Coach calls your name. Come visit us at Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church in the morning. Sunday School starts at 10 am, and Worship is at 11 am. God Bless you all.
