Saturday October 11 Today...I am grateful. Grateful for my sense of home. Today it is about my happy blue house. Thee happy blue house that I refer to, live in & raised my kids in...is thee same house that I grew up in. As a snot-nosed kid growing up, I did always want to have this house. She is an old one. One of the early homes of Transcona. I am extremely fond of old homes. I love the character, the uniqueness, the wood work, archways, wooden staircases, hard wood floors, high ceilings...all of that. This old house has been kind, strong, safe, warm and dry. I sometimes giggle to myself, wondering IF in a former life, in addition to most certainly once being a fierce grizzly bear...I might have also been a gypsy! Not in the sense of being nomadic...more in the sense of style *smile*. Yesterday was Day 1 - it was consumed with me emptying the family-room (shit, how do we collect so much stuff), and steam cleaning the area rugs. Today, Day 2 saw the completion of painting the ceiling. Two coats - complete. Grateful to have my Tessa help with painting, and doing the second coat. Also today...the icky, stinky wall-to-wall berber, under-pad & is currently being ripped out! Grateful for Dylan & Sarah tackling that chore! Tomorrow...yup - Day 3. Anyway...grateful am I for my house. Grateful to have helpers. Grateful to have required energy to accomplish the job. Happy to allow myself enough time to do this job at a manageable pace. I aint as young as I used to be! I find myself tuckered out by early evening. And that - is fine with me. Grateful. It really is just a house that we live in - but she shelters me & my kids. And for that I am grateful. Home is anywhere my heart lives. The memories live within me... True Love - Yes! ❤️ Life...Colour me Happy...I loves ya! ❤️ AND...*smile*...keep those beautiful humbling sunrises coming! ❤️
