Saturday RNR day for me and I have come across a real gem in Chatteris - Thai Touch thaitouch.co.uk/ You walk into a beautiful building with authentic Thai surroundings. to be greeted by Joy, the owner and therapist. This feels like heaven! The smell of aromatherapy oils, the calmness in the atmosphere, music to make you feel sleepy! Drifting down the hallway, I notice the the various treatment rooms, all beautifully set up. Attention to detail with everything, even heated thearpy couches..... Yay! I was impressed with my initial consultation, we chatted through my health form and Joy gave me some expert advice on how to tackle common colds with higher levels of Vitamin C whilst dealing with so many clients myself. She explained how the body processes the vitamins and what I should do when a cold starts to appear. I opted for a full body scrub and an East meets West massage, which includes a Thai massage. Something I have never had before, but I am addicted!! Delighted to know that my skin was perfectly hydrated (I do practise what I preach, honest!!) The Thai massage was really interesting. The way the joints are moved to encourage the tension release, is similar to a Yoga session, only your body is guided into the positions by the therapist. You can go as deep and as strong as you like.... Thai Touch is a gem in Chatteris and if youre looking to escape for an hour or two (even a day!), this is the place!! Due to being out of the main town centre, the only thing you hear is the music. A real chance to spoil yourself! Thanks to Joy for such a beautiful experience.
