Saturday at SGMP part II. Second time run at 3:10pm, 8.974 with a ton of throttle stop, .074 over the 8.90 index. Not a big deal. 75 Super Comp cars for Round one at 7:47pm. We were in the lanes at 6:15 then Troy Williams Jr. in a brand new dragster had an incident. We didnt see it and dont know the details but they announced he was out of the car quickly and OK. Going into the staging lanes it was 69 Degrees but when we finally ran it was a whole different ball game, 60.6 degrees, the humidity rose, the barometric pressure fell and the density altitude fell like a rock from 1220 feet to 694 feet. In the lanes we took .03 in ET of numbers out of the throttle stop timer to slow it down but it just wasnt enough. We ran an 8.886 on the 8.90 index breaking out by .014 while our competitor was 8.915. The bad thing about it was we had him by .010 on the tree. If it was easy everyone would do it. Theres the Gatornationals next week.
