Saturday morning thoughts. I didnt grow up with Christmas being a thing in my rearing. The decorations, the gifts, Santa?!?! (Who is that ๐๐). I mean we got some gifts, but it wasnt made a big deal. One year in Brooklyn, my parents were real and said we cant afford gifts this year but we are going to have fun as a family.. We were probably five at the time. From then on...Christmas stop being a big deal in my house...and the pressure to please was stripped. As a household, I believe we were better for it. Honestly, we focused on the family and religious aspect of the holiday. So its always interesting for me to see my wife get swept up in the Christmas spirit. Every year its seems so...different. With that being said, every year I find myself at the mall buying gifts for people, so go figure. On a slightly related note, my daughter wont be believing in Santa...I just cant bring myself to do it ๐๐๐.
