Saturday was a busy day in the city for the Bridge - TopicsExpress

Saturday was a busy day in the city for the Bridge Ministry! Thanks to Ricky and Tom for supplying about 130 lunches, most of which we received ahead of time. We prayed to have enough foot-soldiers to distribute all the food, and God blessed us with a large group of 21, so we were able to cover THREE routes! The weather was beautiful and we had a chance to meet a number of folks we had not seen before as well as some familiar faces. Many people received blessings thanks to the generosity of this church. Most importantly they received the GOSPEL and HOPE through Jesus Christ! This was our month to serve dinner with folks in the shelter. Thanks to Denise, Julio, Barbara and family for supplying dinner. We were blessed to have Brittney, Mike, Amanda, Steve and Jason join us as foot soldiers AND to help serve the dinner. Since their baptism, they have really stepped up to serve. Jason couldn’t attend the beach bash but plans to be baptized too. These folks are using their gifts and stories, showing others compassion and exemplifying life change happening due to their decision to follow Christ! As Pastor said today, “true GENEROSITY FLOWS out of LOVING GOD and LOVING OTHERS despite our situation and circumstances”. In the short time we have known them it has been a joy to see them grow in their faith. Please pray for them to be blessed and to continue to be strong in their Christian walk. Please pray this week for our brothers and sisters on the streets: Frank, Peggy, Audrey, Bebe, Makaya, Chris, Keinna, Luise, Raul, Hector, Samantha, Richie, Clarence, Wayne, Daryl, Myra, Miguel, Juan, Francisco, Ryan Charlie, Anna, James, Miguel, Ariel, Casilia, Lou, Carmelo, John, Lisa, Henesis, Andrea, JJ, Franklin, Tomi, Francisco, and the others who didn’t share their name. Please pray also for Andre, Sarah, Tom, Holly, and the others we met over dinner at the shelter. They are dealing with problems such as poor health, financial difficulties and addiction. Apologies but we didn’t use a sign-up sheet to record the names of our foot soldiers, but God knows who you are! We love you all. Thank you so much! Please continue to PRAY for our church, our Pastor, campus pastors and leaders, and all those who serve in some way, that we may continue to promote GOD’s vision for reaching New England for Christ.
