Saugerties man run over by truck at village intersection, airlifted to Albany hospital SAUGERTIES — A 56-year-old Saugerties man was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in serious condition Thursday morning after being run over by a “heavy duty” truck at the intersection of Main and Partition streets, according to the police chief. Robert G. Carlson, of 210 Main St., was crossing Partition Street near Main Street at 8:46 a.m. when he was struck by a “heavy duty, dual-wheel” 2005 Chevy utility truck driven by Elwood Hewitt, 60, of Saugerties, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
