Save The Elliott State Forest! -- 93,000 acres of Old Growth Forest in the central coast range is Home to the Spotted Owl and the Marbled Murrelet - two Native Endangered Species. For many years, communities have been attending meetings and protests urging the State Land Board to refrain from increasing logging and clearcut, by selling off more parcels to private timber corporations. Most of the forest is designated within the Common Schools Fund, meaning our public forests are sold off to the timber industry, to generate tax revenue for schools.
