Saving Parker the dog UPDATE #3: Hes still alive! After this story went viral yesterday, the dog pound who had planned to put Parker to sleep today was inundated with calls from people (most of you reading this Im sure!) all offering help. There were plenty of offers to temporarily foster Parker but we are yet to have anyone offer to adopt full-time. The latest news is this: the pound have delayed the deadline to 3pm tomorrow. Tomorrow morning a couple from Wollongong will drive to meet Parker and hopefully adopt him pending on how they bond (this is the best option). If this does not eventuate, Ive found a great temporary carer on the Northern Beaches who will look after him (ill help too and so to can you if you wish) until January, after which I have found a rescue home who is willing to take him on and try to find him a forever home whilst caring for him. In short, it looks at though weve managed to save Parkers life. Ill confirm the final outcome tomorrow. Can I admit this has been emotional?! ;)
