Saw *Dear White People* on Friday night. If you are looking for a movie with an obvious plot, the standard setup and resolve, this is not that film. In that sense, it reminds me of *The Hurt Locker*. Those statements are not complaints. The director is quite masterful, and the film would be quite dull or unutterably bizarre if not for his skill. You are left to draw out--not decide, but draw out--the moral of the film. Youll find it at the corner of Racism Ave. and Privilege St. I think this is going to be a modern equivalent of *Black Like Me*: something that never wears out and that everyone should see. So, I dont think you need to rush out and see it because it isnt going anywhere; but I would like the directors box get him another film. Your call.
