Saw John Barrowman in the penultimate episode of Scandal season 2, Any Questions? Scandal was created by Doctor Who fan Shonda Rhimes and she had previously cast Barrowman in the lead role in the ill-fated pilot Gilded Lilys. In his Scandal guest stint he plays a fixer whose services has been employed by the US First Lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young). In fact Bellamy Young is the only person that he appears with in his guest stint. Scandal takes place in Washington D.C. and this is not the first time that a John Barrowman character has been in the US capital as it was also a setting in Miracle Day. However Barrowman playing alongside a First Lady in Scandal is in contrast to the fact that in Miracle Day he as Captain Jack did not meet the First Lady or the President for that matter as they were not shown on screen.
