Saw an uplifting event yesterday. While visiting my grandmother in the nursing home my 84 year old grandfather came up there and visited her. He was dressed up real nice. I asked him Granddaddy why are you so dressed up in the middle of the afternoon? His reply was because he was coming to see his bride. I thought about that statement. It dawned on me immediately that true love no matter the circumstance never makes you want to stop shining bright to the one you love. Age and time does not matter. True love always makes you reach for more and gives you that drive. That truly touched my heart. To see, someone after 60 years of marriage, still taking the time and making that extra effort, to truly, take the pride in looking sharp to visit his wife in the nursing home. To me that’s a true act of love. Got me thinking that if Im ever blessed enough to be with someone that long in this life that I to would like to take that time and make that effort to impress the one special person who had always been by my side through the thick and thin of this world.
