Saw some of my very favorite people at the Links Brunch in honor of Authors of the African Diasporic tradition. Saw the most beautiful couple Laurie and Derrick P. Alridge, the effervescent Joanne Gabbin, Leah Puryear, Donna, and Tamrya Turner who graciously invited me. My dear daughter had a wonderful time as did Daddy. When called upon my daughter introduced her book and sang for the audience pre-empting any discussion of my book:) We ate fantastic food. I did not get to win a door prize as I did last year, but Leah publicly congratulated me on my baby girl so that was all I needed. We bought Sonia Manzano Maria on Sesame Streets No Dogs Allowed. Shakeila took photographs of the beautiful women in their FABULOUS HATS, and we ran and ran in the Omni. I guess I will continue to lose tons of weight because my child is like the Road Runner and The Runaway Bunny combined!!! Plus my weight lifting routine of lifting My Dear has improved my arm and leg muscles. BONE TIRED PEOPLE, BONE TIRED, but VERY HAPPY.
