Saw the Hobbit tonight Being a lifelong fan of JRR Tolkien, thank you Peter Jackson for bringing the literary vision of this great man to life for us all I enjoyed every second of the final movie but it was sad. Sad to see the noble and tragic end of some of my favorite characters, sad to feel enveloped in the growing sadness of the emergence of darkness over the world, which sets the stage for The Lord of the Rings some sixty years later, and sad that its over, Peter Jacksons artistic gift to us all is at an end When the extended version releases to DVD in about a year, I will complete my set. That will be a family heirloom to preserve. Give yourself a Christmas gift and go see it.
