Saw the Snowy Owl sitting on railroad tracks between Carey Circle and Mecaw Road near the Bangor/Hermon line. It flew to the vicinity of a large white building at Mecaw Road where it disappeared from view. We tracked it down to the top of a trailer at the building. The lighting was poor due to high contrast. Harassed by crows, it moved 300 to another trailer where we were able to maneuver the car for better lighting. We remained inside the car so we would not further disturb it.
