Saw the post about NXT Vs Attitude Era and I thought Id have my say on it. Always was and always will be a big fan of the attitude era. That being said the quality of matches in NXT is much higher, however in terms of entertainment, promos, and the egos walking around in that era, I think they won over. Although I can understand why some would favour NXT, as Wrestling purists and lovers of Wrestling you wont find any better in ring talent on show. But if you look back at the personalities of the attitude era, they were something special. There wont be another HBK or Steve Austin, but maybe in future Cesaro and Neville can fill that void. Not yet, but they have the potential. NXT is going the right way and is the best Wrestling program on Tv today, (in my opinion) HOWEVER, if the attitude era RAW was on every week, it would still be a small developmental show, with lower ratings. I think it also helps that the main show is not performing as expected at this current time. If RAW were to put out edgier storylines it might take the limelight off NXT as a substitute to the main show. Its easy to win out when the competition is poor - but the attitude era did it against WCW and the NWO, which was no easy feat. -w33bz
