Saw this Article in Eenadu Newspaper today on Organic / Natural grown products retailing in Hyderabad. These articles create many more doubts in customers minds who are just thinking to switch to Organic/Naturally grown products. Focussing on the Certifications & Transaction Certificates for every product being retailed will create hurdles for small farmers to market their products either directly or in collaboration with the retailer network. Considering that Certification Costs Approx Rs.30,000 plus per year, Govt should give subsidies or come up with a low cost certification process so that small , individual farmers can get their farms certified. And its also time for Hyderabad Organic Retailers to associate and work together more from a Retailing / Customer Awareness / Authenticity purpose.
