Saw this great verse on my Jesus Daily Android App... Psalm 9:17-18 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God. But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. Throughout the Old Testament generations of people forgot about God. It is when this happened that they got into trouble, worshipping the Gods of other nations and doing what was evil in the sight of the Lord. Our world needs leaders that are willing to live and lead seeking God every step of the way. Yet take note, that even as nations fall into forgetfulness, that God will never abandon the needy, the afflicted, or the poor. Our God is a God of perfect justice that includes mercy, love, grace, and discipline. The righteous will not go down with the wicked.
