Say somebody comes up to you, sticks a gun in your face, and says, “Give me your money.” And you say, “No.” He pistol-whips you and takes the money. The law says that’s armed robbery. Now, say somebody comes up, sticks a gun in your face, says, “Give me your money.” You say, “Sure, take the money. Heres my credit cards, heres the key to my car.” He takes everything, and *then* pistol-whips you. The law says thats armed robbery, too. But those are *very* different perpetrators. Labels mean nothing. Look at the behavior, not the “offense.”
