Say strictly no to Dowry! To save our women from being victims of dowry, the change has to first begin right with us. We need to get away from our attitudes of participating in dowry based marriages. It is rather curious that people talk boldly about prohibiting the practice of demanding and taking dowry but, when it comes to their own children, they tend to themselves do the same thing. Dowries do not necessarily strengthen a woman’s position in her husband’s family. It is time for the society to leave the tradition of dowry far behind!!!
