Saying No Saying no is one of the hardest things to do in business, and yet you have to learn to do it. If you dont say no to customers who arent a good fit for your business then youll end up being unhappy in the long run, trying to reshape your business to make them happy, and whats the point in that? If you dont say no to advertisers tempting you to buy bargain space thats not really a bargain, because its not going to put you in front of your ideal customers then youll just be making an expensive mistake at a bargain price. If you dont say no to well meaning but misunderstanding friends and family who dont take your business seriously and ask you to run errands or childmind for them because theyre working (the implication being youre at home therefore youre NOT working) then youll begrudge them, which is a shame. Saying no always feels hard at the time but its a much smaller pain to bear than giving in and repenting at leisure. Its time to start saying no - without feeling guilty, without feeling like a fraud, without beating yourself up and without explanations or excuses. Its your business and your life.
