Saying goodbye.... First of all, I apologize for not communicating to all of you friends sooner. My wife and I sold our home 3 weeks ago & moved to Indiana, at least for awhile, to be with our kids and grandkids. It all happened so fast that I didnt have time to think through how best to say goodbye to all of you in Ithaca...So I guess that means we dont say goodbye we say: Stay in touch, DO YOUR BEST and make us proud of each other. Second, I hope you surround yourself with people who make you a better person and avoid people who gossip, bring you down and keep you from being the best person you can be. We all have these people in our lives... both types. Make a daily, conscious effort to avoid the negative people and really try to not become one of those yourself. Third, I will always enjoy reading how things are going in your life and please keep me in your prayers too. I will miss seeing & waving to you as you pass me on the street or seeing you in a store & stopping to talk. If you are ever in the Fort Wayne area, or passing through, please let me know so we can meet up at least for a short time. My hope is we ALL get together soon, 1 more time, in Ithaca. Maybe in December or January? Can we make this happen? Fourth, remember, you were the reason that I always tried to do my best and you helped me become a better person each day that I spent with you. I am still this work in progress....with Thanksgiving close, I realized YOU are one of my greatest gifts to be thankful for! Lastly, we all have gifts. Work to realize what those gifts are and share & cherish them!
