Saying sorry when youre wrong is a very difficult thing to do. Its easy when you dont mean it but its really difficult when you do. Not only are you admitting youre mistakes, but youre also taking ownership of them. Youre accepting youre guilt and admitting youve hurt someone and it makes you feel kind of like a bad guy. However, once youve said it and youve actively worked to improve the situation, you feel so much better. Its a small kind of vindication that makes you feel like maybe youre not so bad afterall and you find yourself trying to be a better person without really realizing youre doing it. So the moral of the story is this: the hardest things to do can reap the greatest rewards.
