Scans showed that Jason has tumors in his skull, lungs, liver, pelvis and his spine. Those on his spine have weakened the vertebrae sufficiently enough for a fracture to form. After Jason had been discharged, his pain levels still steadily increased and so he was taken by ambulance to the PICU on the 18th. They increased his dosage of methadone and dilauded for pain control. He was moved to the oncology ward yesterday once his pain levels were stabilized, but they have had to keep him on a constant dose of medications-- reducing them caused his pain levels to come right back up. Jason is incoherent, and it causes him great pain to move. He has been sleeping most of the time, and has experienced some nausea, though whether it is medication-related or pain-related is uncertain. Mom has been with him around the clock.
