Schall Richard U. Dick Schall Jr., age 75, of West Jefferson, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born May 11, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Richard U. and Gladys A. Schall Sr. Dick was a U.S. Naval Veteran (1956-1960); serving on the submarine USS Sablefish 303; later he served in the reserve as a Chief Petty Officer during Desert Storm. He retired from Big Bear-Harts Warehouse after thirty-five years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Dorothea Dottie Schall; two daughters, Doreen (Frank) Duemmel, Connie (Robert) Selbert; son, Craig T. Schall, all of West Jefferson; four grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Schaade, Brian (Whitney) Duemmel, Courtnie (Jacob) McFaddin and Spenser Selbert; two great grandchildren, Milena Fife and Addison Duemmel. He was preceded in death by a sister Carol Williams. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, West Jefferson, where Funeral Service will be held 12Noon Thursday. Burial and Graveside Military Service will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
