Schizophrenic Christianity Mar 13-17, “And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. 14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. 16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesars. 17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and to God the things that are Gods. And they marvelled at him.” There are times when those who consider themselves to be spiritual minded to be just as blind as a non-believer. How can that be? It takes more than reading scriptures then cannibalizing those scriptures verse by verse to fit a natural situational need, lack, feed an ego, or fuel a desire. Satan counts on our spiritual disconnect and his influence to keep us believing we have understanding but in reality missing the truth and heart of the kingdom of God. Most often some will take one scripture like the one above and attempt to apply it to a natural concept thus missing the whole point, plan, or spiritual connection that is being made. Natural thinking believers will take worldly philosophies and compare then to kingdom concepts. Many people hear voices that reflect personal desire, man’s desire, or religious desire, not God’s desire led through and by the Holy Spirit. In part you can attribute to this mentality to immaturity, ignorance, or pride. Yes pride. Pride will have people disallowing the truth abandoning it for what they were taught never realizing that what they were taught while well-meaning in not spiritually correct or remotely close to the truth. The only question I am going to ask for now is this, how can you apply natural thinking to spiritual concepts? It can’t be done.
