Scholarships To Russian Students Cairo - 14/11/2013 (Cairo Press Review) Dr Ahmed Al Tayyib , the Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar has expressed optimism over the return of relations between Egypt and Russia following the visit by the Russian Popular delegation to Al Azhar Sheikhdom for the first time in a period of twenty years. He said it is time to launch an inter faith dialogue adding Egypt has Al Azhar Center for inter faith dialogue, the Family House which works for eliminating all reasons of tension .He said this house is currently working for restoring worshipping places which were affected following the recent incidents. He expressed Al Azhar willingness to increase the number of scholarships for the Russian students . On their part , the members of the delegation hailed the historical role played by Al Azhar adding it has managed to enhance relations among Moslems and Christians . They said Al Azhar is the beacon of Islam in the world. The members of the delegation said Egypt is the most important friend to Russia adding the visits concurs with the 70th anniversary of establishing Egyptian Russian relations. They said they hope that relations would witness positive changes in the coming stage mainly in the field of civilizations dialogue in view of the big similarities between the two peoples .
