School is back in and a lot of people suddenly have radically different schedules. The educators and other school staff and the students are obviously affected. So are parents, and especially single parents. Many of them have to get the kids to school, go to work, then rush to get their kids to ball games, club meetings, etc. some of them have to work 2nd or 3rd shift jobs, which can be a logistical nightmare. They have to rely on family and friends and may only get to see their kids a few hours a day. Many dont have a good support system like that, and basically run themselves ragged making sure all the childrens needs are met while also bring the sole provider. To all of the above, I give you props for what you do for the sake of the kids, but to those of you doing it alone, I give my utmost respect and admiration. I challenge all my friends to pay attention to who these ppl are, and try to lend a hand whenever possible. It can be an offer to carpool, a good, hot meal, or anything else. What seems like a little bit of nothing to you can seem like a lottery win for a single parent.
