Schotzies home visit went well and she started her two week trial period. It is a little strange now having only 4 dogs in the house (2 personal and 2 fosters), but it is also a relief since everyone will get a lot more one on one time. A few months ago I had 5 foster dogs at one time, which really isnt fair to the dogs since they dont get enough attention. Luckily, we were able to move Heidi to a new foster home were she is the only dog and gets a lot of attention and Mya only stayed with me for a short period of time before getting adopted. And now hopefully, Schotzie will be officially adopted after her two week trial period is over. Even with several recent adoptions, all of our current foster homes are full (we are just now at a more reasonable number of dogs per foster home). We do not plan on taking in anymore dogs until some of our long time fosters are adopted or we are able to find more dedicated foster homes.
