Science/Religion Part Deux: Some don’t believe me when I say that every Star u see in the sky is a Sun & the Sun just like ALL stars will do 1 of 3 things that ALL star’s do –Either collapse on itself forming a black hole, where not even light can evade, Explodes into a Super Nova (like M87a from 1987**see pics) or becomes a Red Giant . All 3 scenarios mean that good old earth& the local group will be destroyed.(we are the local group, along with the other Planets within our Solar system) Yes the Earth is to close to the Sun to survive. How much time do we have u wonder? They say 5 billion years which is enough time to somehow hopefully relocate. The religion aspect of this-If you believe Revelations-and as scary as it is I do-its said… When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. ----------o.k this is talking about the same thing pretty much-The End right?. If the Sun goes Red Giant-what color will the moon then appear to be??hmmm? from a scientific view----------Toward the end of a stars life, the temperature near the core rises and this causes the size of the star to expand. This is the fate of the Sun in about 5 billion years. You might want to mark your calendar! The long answer is that stars convert hydrogen to helium to produce light (and other radiation). As time progresses, the heavier helium sinks to the center of the star, with a shell of hydrogen around this helium center core. The hydrogen is depleted so it no longer generates enough energy and pressure to support the outer layers of the star. As the star collapses, the pressure and temperature rise until it is high enough for helium to fuse into carbon, i.e. helium burning begins. To radiate the energy produced by the helium burning, the star expands into a Red Giant. For the people who I may be somewhat over they headz--in other wordz-the shyt gon blow-up at some point and so will we-what a coincidence that it mentions the sun, stars and a blood red moon? Sometimes he puts it ‘in the mouth of babes.
