Scientific Miracles In The Nobel Quran. Part : 3 The Forelock There is an incident described in the Nobel Quran over 1400 years ago about a man called Abu Jahel who was not only an enemy of the Muslims and Islam during the time of the Prophet, but also a well-known pathological liar (compulsive liar). So God-{Allah} have sent down the following revelation: {Does he not know that Allah sees? NO! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the Forelock - A Lying, Sinning Forelock.} -[The Nobel Quran, 96:14-16] The expression the lying, sinful forelock in the above verse is most interesting. Research carried out in recent years has revealed that the prefrontal area, which is responsible for the management of particular functions of the brain, lies in the frontal part of the skull. Scientists only discovered the functions of this area, which the Quran pointed out 1,400 years ago, in the last 60 years. If we look inside to the brain at the front of the head, we will find the frontal area of the cerebrum. A book entitled Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology, which includes the results of the latest research on the functions of this area, says: (The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. This is a region of association cortex…63) The book also says: (In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the functional center for aggression…64) So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivation, and initiating good and sinful behavior, and is responsible for telling lies and/or truth. It is clear that the statement A Lying, Sinning Forelock. corresponds completely to the above explanations. Again, this fact which scientists have only discovered in the last 60 years, was stated by God-{Allah} in the Quran over 1400 years ago. Another fact: The brain is surrounded with three membranes, among which is the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), which has the function of protection, feeding, and cooling. It has been found that the brain inside the skull weighs 50gm, although the real weight is 1700gm. The physical principle states that the volume of the object immersed in fluid is equal to the volume of displaced fluid. Therefore, it is of the Almighty Creator’s decree that we do not feel the brain weight, as it floats in the CSF, which originates from a special area in the brain called “the corogy plexus”, and rotates inside and comes out of another area such as the domestic water net. This cycle occurs five times a day. As Muslims do before prayer times, the brain get ablution 5 times a day…! We prostrate (known as Sujjud) on the Frontal lobe which has the center of decision making, and because of that the body tilt in a precise and perfect form that the blood vessels become completely relaxed and so the blood starts flowing all over this the Frontal lobe. as a result, when prostrating and worshiping God-{Allah}, the Muslim’s forelock is certified as Truthful and Right.
