Scientists discovered the cause of hearing voices and seeing figures that do not exist, root of the saga of the promised land by God ?? Israeli and American scientists have discovered a gene among Ashkenazi Jews that increases their chances of developing the mental disorder schizophrenia, as well as schizoaffective disorder according to a study recently published in Nature Communications. The first portion of the study included the largest-ever sample group of Ashkenazi Jews ever researched. Of the 2,500 Ashkenazi Jews from Israel who contributed DNA samples for the study, 1,500 were healthy, while 1,000 were affected by mental disorders related to schizophrenia. Those with the disease lose interest in their surroundings, develop dark emotions and sometimes imagine hearing voices or seeing figures that do not exist. Many scientists believe that genes have a great deal of influence on the disease, alongside other environmental and hereditary factors. Ashkenazi Jews descend from 350 people. Because their community started out so small, and remained genetically isolated, it developed a higher load of disease-causing mutations. Even today, Ashkenazi Jews are known to be at higher risk for many diseases, including breast and ovarian cancer and Tay-Sach’s disease. Variations of the DNST3 gene make Ashkenazi Jews 40 percent more likely to develop schizophrenia and similar diseases. Ed note–Schizophrenia is characterized by a person living in a world where reality has little bearing on anything, and therefore what more would someone expect from a group of people who for thousands of years have embraced notions of their superiority and belief in a ‘God’ that commands them to invade, steal, and murder? The study was conducted by Professor Ariel Darvasi, assistant dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in coordination with Dr. Todd Lencz from The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in New York. The study was authored by Shai Carmi, a computer science professor at Columbia University, and more than 20 medical researchers from Yale, Columbia, Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and other institutions. theuglytruth.wordpress/2014/12/27/scientists-discover-gene-that-predisposes-ashkenazi-jews-to-schizophrenia-2/
