Scotland our Christian roots and the road to 2014 Is the theme of our reflections over the next few weeks. Our Saints Our journey of faith, our missionaries, our Church, our future for our Church. Soon we will be asked to make decisions about Scotlands future but its important that we know at least a wee bit about our Christian past, especially as we are asking the faithful to build Scotlands Christian future. We will be Including within, when the other faiths became part of our Tartan Nation of many backgrounds and cultures and we became Scotland a truly diverse community. These short reflections may just allow those attending to find a taste for where they can find out more and read for themselves why its important we note the work of our saints, the history of the uniting of the ancient communities, the characters who formed a nation, and the faith and faiths that shape a nation. Our Church in Scotland, perhaps not on the ballet paper but key to Scotlands future? And perhaps even the future of the parish church?
