Scott Hawker has gone through the 95km mark at The North Face - TopicsExpress

Scott Hawker has gone through the 95km mark at The North Face Lavaredo Ultra Trail in 6th place, 10:40, roughly 45 minutes behind mens leader, the legendary Anton (Tony) Krupicka. There are 4 runners spread within 6 minutes behind Scotty and 2 within 10 minutes ahead of him. He wasnt even in the mix at the 66km checkpoint when there was a 24-minute spread from 1st to 10th so Im guessing that he has run steady through the afternoon while the runners in front have dropped off. Does this mean hes currently at threshold, or does it mean hes about to fire the turbos? Who knows. Its Scotts first time racing to 120km so the next 2-3 hours are going to be an incredible experience for him. We think hell handle it like the champion ultra runner that he is. Its not by luck that he has taken out 100km course records on both the east and west coasts of Australia over the past couple of years. Its by commitment. Lets see how he goes. ultratrail.it/en/news-eng.html
